"Barrabases" From the early 50's to mid 50's is the only thing I can think of. It's in Spanish and I am not sure of the Company. Hope this helps somewhat.

The UK comic weeklies Scorcher, plus Roy of the Rovers, were two titles that were all, or mostly about soccer.
