Captain DJ:
No problem, I have now gone through and hopefully removed all those weird characters from admin reviews.

Yoc:
I never saw them.  Thanks for fixing them Capt.

Geo (RIP):
Thanks Cap, one more thing we don't have to worry about now.

Going back to the earlier comment "I was going by standard scanning practice which counts the cover as page 1,"...
Is there a 'standard' scaning practice? I always start with page00fc... page00ifc... page01..., with, of course, the comic's name & number in place of 'page'.

A few publishers did number pages starting with the fc (eg fawcett, street&smith) for a while, but most used the standard 1-64, and page numbers mostly diappeared when comics began shrinking.

I've seen that some scanners do use generic scan01, scan02 etc...; maybe it's easier that way, but is it a 'standard', or just the default way that scanning software numbers scans? To me, 'scan01 and 'page01' are two different things.

Snard:
The wonderful thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from.

One of the interesting things I've found about naming conventions for scans is that I can often tell who scanned/edited a book by how the files are named. What prefix (if any) does each filename start with? Do they start numbering from 1 or 0? Do they include the covers in their numbering, or append fc/ifc/etc to the covers? Do they pad the file numbers to 2 digits or 3? The list goes on and on...  Of course some people make it easy by including a tag file.
