Chris Beneke, who was amazing, providing a TON of work on this collection, wrote the following announcement for our new FRANK THOMAS ARCHIVES Vol 1-4.
Now up in the Archives section of the site!

Here are the links:
Frank Thomas Archives Text Extras Only
Frank Thomas Archives v1 - Centaur Years
Frank Thomas Archives v2 - The Complete Eye
Frank Thomas Archives v3 - The Complete Owl Pt.1
Frank Thomas Archives v3 - The Complete Owl Pt.2
Frank Thomas Archives v4 - Billy and Bonny Bee

---
Usual-lurker Chris Beneke here, happy to have contributed to the Frank Thomas Archives, which compiles all the known comic book pages drawn by this artist-author, nearly 700 pages in four volumes.

Yoc, who will probably insist on deleting even this too-meager credit, worked hard to coordinate and complete this project in time for what would have been Frank Thomas's 103rd birthday today, January 19.  Extra-special thanks to Rod Beck for his help tracking down this archive's secret guest star, Frank's daughter, Nancy Thomas-Bardeen, whose help was invaluable.  And to Josh for being the first to provide his Owl intro and the very detailed Owl Index way back when this was all just going to be a update on the existing archive.

The Owl collection, in particular, includes many new, exclusive, and superior scans that were contributed by David Armstrong.

The somewhat extensive editorial pages, which are included with each volume, will be available as a separate download.

Enjoy! And, as always, thanks to all the scanners!

Thank you for the 4 volumes, great!
I would like to publish them in France, do you give me permission to make two complete volumes in French?

Is this just one printing for yourself?

EXCELLENT job!!!! Well researched and organized, great job on the layout and graphics, enjoyable history and personal memories and a very enjoyable read.  It should be considered a template for future archives.  It felt like I was reading a well researched article in Alter-Ego, shedding light on an artist and character that many would never see or read.

Well done to all who have contributed their time and effort to this project, it took a lot of work and it shows.  Thank You from an old comics fan who is enjoying a new look at the Golden past of comics.

Thanks very much for the very kind words Ed.
I too hope everyone else enjoys it and perhaps inspires others to go the extra mile to make their own collections better than just a volume of reprints.

FT's daughter Nancy just sent us a nicer picture upgrade to go with Chris' introduction in each of our volumes.  I've updated the files but if you check you can download just the new page and add it to your own file and save yourself the bandwidth.

Thanks again to Nancy for all her own work helping us to produce what I think is one of the best archives we've got on the site!

Alter-Ego #151 featuring Frank Thomas is soon to be on sale!

Hey Gang,
The latest issue of Roy Thomas' Alter-Ego #151 will be out very soon!
This is the issue that focuses on Frank Thomas as promised when we first debuted the Frank Thomas Archives here on DCM.
You can get a preview of this issue up on the Twomorrows site at this link.  Click Here to see it.

I've seen what Michael T. Gilbert did for the issue on Frank Thomas and there are several pics, etc that we don't have in our FT Archives here.  But they of course couldn't share all of his actual comics works like we did here.  So the magazine and our archives are the perfect team-up for those that would like to dig into the life and work on this unsung golden-age artist.

Yoc, you deserve the credit for the work you've done on the Frank Thomas Archives along with the others involved. So take it please.

Thanks Geo.  Everyone involved with the archives did an amazing job on it in my opinion.
And Alter Ego adds even more to the story with pictures and text from Nancy not in our collection.  I hope members here will get a copy to see what a great magazine it is for anyone in this hobby of ours.

I've bumped these archives to the top of the Latest Uploads list again.
Sorry, if you already have them DO NOT DOWNLOAD THEM AGAIN.  There is nothing new in them.
This is just the only way I can think of to get DCM users that might not visit here or our Facebook page to see them and hear about the new Alter Ego #151.

Apologies to anyone confused by their reappearance at the top of the Latest Uploads list.
