The Tick 2016 tv show
(1/1)
Yoc:
Hi guys,
I've just watched the new Tick show from Amazon. It's got a different feel from everything before it.
Ben Edlund writes it which is nice to see. It's got a more serious feel with Arthur getting an origin I don't recall seeing before.
The new Tick is about 2/3rds the size I picture and doesn't have the perfect voice that Patrick Washburn had for the role but he's still pretty good. I'll be watching the rest of them for sure.

I think you meant Patrick Warburton (who played The Tick in the 2001 series), but I found it interesting to see his name in the credits as the producer of the new show. I liked it also.
Yoc:
Right you are Moose. Apologies to Mr Warburton. He has the perfect voice for the Tick IMO. He was in a new show last year 'Crowded' that wasn't half bad. Not nearly as good as 'Life in Pieces' though, easily the best new show of 2016.

i found it to be more good than not, but the guy playing the Tick (or maybe it's the Tick's costume) just doesn't do it for me.
i like the take/origin of Arthur and the actor playing him. i'm intrigued on the Terror's storyline.
as a HUGE fan of the 2001 live action series, it was above average and i will continue to watch. It wasn't amazing but it shows plenty of promise.
Yoc:
Hi T,
Yeah, the Tick's costume was not exactly perfect was it? Besides the actor being too average in size but I'll give the show a chance if they do more. Seeing the Terror fleshed out after knowing he was to appear in the 2001 show is fun. Arthur is the best part of the show so far and seeing his sister fleshed out is fun.
Fingers crossed it gets at least one more,
