File Extensions
KevinP:
Files are downloading with an extension of .ctcffly.cbzpart which my computer cannot open. Changing the extension to .cbr or .rar or .zip results in "unknown file type". How do I convert these to .cbr? :-/
movielover:
Well, the answer will probably depend on what operating system is involved. Now I get that until the file has finished downloading, then the part disappears and the file works fine

Hi Kevin,
ML is correct. We would need to know what your operating system is.
I think the easy thing would be to do a GOOGLE for -
"How to Show File Extension in XXX" where the XXX is your OS.
Once you know what the file type is you can usually open it with the right software installed.

KevinP:
I have Windows 7. My computer is showing normal file extensions but now .ctcffly.cbzpart looks like it is a file extension.
Captain DJ:
Are you using Firefox?
If so then the "part" at the end of the filename is added by Firefox during the download of files. This is added to show that the file is not finished downloading. Either Firefox is still downloading the file or something has gone wrong to cut the download short.
If you are not using Firefox then ignore the above as I am just taking a guess here as not much information to go with.
