Which iPad or tablet apps do you use to read your comics?
petown:
Thanks for the education/overview on Samsung Paw! As an Apple guy I don't have much insight into the Android world, (sort of the opposite of your situation!) so its great to hear the details of how your tablet works. The split between iOS and Android OS is really a factor to consider.
I agree that the ease of downloading the comics to the desktop as an interim step is useful, but yes, it is an extra step. It would be nice to 'just have stuff' and not do any multiple steps at all, but now I'm going into science fiction! :)
Comixology was a favorite of mine until Amazon took them over; felt like a step backward in terms of titles and ease of use. That being said, their app was great at navigation and sort of spoiled me for that aspect.
I'm not familiar with Perfect Viewer. How long have you been using that? Is that like GoodReader? Goodreader seemed like the logical choice for a reader, but I could never get the non-PDF files to work right.
I'll look into Comics Challenger Viewer; never heard of that one before.

Thanks for the reviews gang, please keep 'em coming!
I tried Comics Challenger first mostly because of all the formats supported and the ftp direct download option being there should I get the opportunity to use it. I'll have to try some others just to compare them but so far I'm happy with what I've got.
Geo (RIP):
I'm using the free version of ComicBook on my iPad Mini it seem to work well on/with different versions of Apple OS.May want to give it a try. It should be on/in the iTune app.

Awesome feedback so far for this topic! Thanks all ;)
Here's what I've tried so far and my overall rating of them (granted, with very limited use; my free time has been short lately).
ComicBook Lover for iPad: never worked; crashes on launch and I hear it is no longer supported. Seems like it used to be great! :(
Comic Zeal Comic Reader: best one so far, but navigation seems harder than it should be.
Comixology: Was my top reader in terms of newly purchased comics and navigation was perfect. But it never worked well for me for older format files. Once Amazon bought it, it slipped even further down the list.
Sequential: for graphic novels. Haven't really spent much time with this so... but nothing stands out as wonderful.
Yet to try: Challenger Comics Viewer (thanks Paw!) and the free ComicBook (thanks Geo!).
I'm breaking out the Kindle too in hopes that gives me something the iPad doesn't.

Thanks for digging in on this topic P, looking forward to your results.
