Need help to identify a Secret agent from the 30s
« on: November 18, 2014, 05:53:49 AM »
Hi all,

I am trying to find from which US comics these two pages comes from.
These comics were published in 1939 in "Journal de Toto".
The second one is supposed to be the sequel to the first. But I believe the second is older than the first.
In the second one the secret agent is named Ben Barry and in the first Ben Kerrigan. However these names are likely not the ones from the orignial US publications.
These two pages come obviously from daily strips.
Thanks for your help.

(Well I can not upload the pages , you may have a look in a french forum:

And he took your advice, Yoc.  I was able to find out that Dragon Vert was done by Konstantin Kuznjecov.  There is a bio. on Lambiek if anyone wants to look.
The comic in which the strip appeared was Le Journal de Toto, a French weekly anthology title and the issue I uploaded today to CB+ is from 1938.  Again, anyone who fancies a look, it's here:-
