I, too would like to thank everyone. I think this as my favorite of all the Spotlights. I do see you've announced another one Yoc. I certainly hope that Headline #22 can be found for that one to complete that series (except for a few damaged pages). I ask because I thought I'd recorded that JVJ had that particular issue. I'd have thought it would have gone out with the others. If he does not have this issue, can you let us know so we (I) can search for it.
Thanks,
Jon

Hi Jon,
Great to hear you enjoyed this latest one.
Headline 22 is in the pipeline if all goes well.
There will be a smattering on non-romance books in Prize Part 2.

Hi Gang!
We are back with MORE Prize Comics in this our second Spotlight on the publisher.
This time we will be focusing mostly (but not completely) on their romance comic titles.
Simon & Kirby broke the romance genre in a teen-humor comic book called "My Date", cover-dated March 1947. Sales were good enough for Prize to negotiate a 50% profit sharing deal with S&K. They would go to court over that one later but meanwhile Prize would start with "Young Romance" #1 cover-dated September 1947. More titles would follow as the genre took off - "Young Love", "Western Love" and "Real West Romances" all in 1949. More followed with "Young Brides" (1952), "All for Love" (1957) and "Personal Love" (1957). Eventually DC would take over Young Love and Young Romance in 1963. They would publish them into the 1970s!
