Treasure Chest V15
« on: October 14, 2014, 11:07:40 PM »
I just uploaded Treasure Chest Volume 15 issues 2-9 plus the Teachers Guide that came with a teacher purchased of Issue #1. There are 2 copies of Issue 2, one with the guide for Issue 2 and one without the guide.

The Treasure Chest comics I have uploaded and will be uploading are cleaned up and software enhanced copies of the ones from the American Catholic University Archives. I did this to limit the possible damage to comics in my collection.

When the Archive pages are of poor quality, which averages about 3-4 pages a comic, I am replacing with pages from my collection, providing I have a copy that will not be damaged due to scanning. Some comics from the archive are not worth cleaning up, all of Volume 5 for example. In these cases I will try to do a full scan from a copy that I have.

Thanks for the background info on these CW.
Please include in the descriptions when you've done any extra work or new page upgrades.  You deserve the credit for it.

Is it worth my while to eventually upload cleaned up and enhanced copies of Volumes 1-3? The ones on DCM right now were directly taken from the American Catholic Archive and while were definitely a help when I downloaded they could use a little work. Thanks.

I'm speaking for myself, but I'm sure others will agree that whenever possible, nicer copies are always appreciated!

Thanks,
Sooth

Hi CW,
Sure, feel free to work on v1-3 but please include '-upgrade' in your file name and note your upgrades in the description.  And please mention the original source as the American Catholic Archive as well.

Did Catholic comics come out much too late?
