Interesting. Looks to me like it is from a romance or crime comic. Any guesses on the signature that's on the back? Was this originally in a frame?

I bought it from a collectors 1 month ago, he mention that he also had no clue of artist, he bought it off eBay many years ago and that the eBay seller had mostly sport memorabilia on auction. the only reason he bought the strip was because of the Ted Williams context. he thinks its a late 40's to early 50's strip. I own several flamingo strips and this particular strip its same size 8 inches across and the pencils the underlines, the balloons all are similar to a phoenix features strip. maybe artist from the iger shop? Its well Drawn. the first panel (Sarah) looks Bakerish to me...maybe John Thornton.

the back of strips reads: I see>>Sparmo/ Spaumo???
