We are Back.. mostly!

Hi Gang!
Very sorry for our downtime the last couple days and the periodic brown outs that came before that.
All were symptoms of another faulty HD on our server.  We've decided to dump it, buy a new one, upgrade the CPU, HD and even our download speeds.
(have you noticed it's a bit zipper to move around the site?  I sure do!)

Our apologies to everyone for the disruption but we feel the upgrades have made it all for the better!

Many thanks to you and the staff for everything you all do to make this the go-to place for public domain comics scans.  Three cheers especially to Capt DJ for taking the time and effort to upgrade DCM to world class status during the current downtime.  No doubt the site will show itself to be consistently more stable and reliable.   Thanks Captain !

We're still moving into the new server so there might be the odd brown-out like we had with the forum here today.  Sorry about that.

Still in process of moving all the files over to new server, seems to be taking ages as so many files and huge in size.


When they all moved over I will turn old site off and put new server online, will be little downtime as will make it so transition is less stressful and will set up a temp url during changed over so no one will see site offline.

You will hear more here before site is fully moved.

I have a day off Wednesday so looking to move the forum to the new server on Wednesday, will post update closer to date. Will be little downtime but shouldn't be too much.
