Louis Glanzman passing

This is from Timely-Atlas Comics board:
"i List--

I have to pass along the sad news, from Steve Fears, that Golden Age
artist Lou Glanzman (brother of Sam Glanzman) passed away on July 7.
Here is Steve's e-mail to me, which he gave me permission to pass on.

Roy

Dear Roy,

I don't know if you knew or not, but Louis Glanzman passed away last
Sunday, July 7, around 2 o'clock in the afternoon. He was 91 years old.
He was under hospice care at the time. Sue Glanzman, Sam's wife, called
me to tell me the sad news. Lou was the one who got Sam into doing comic
books was back in the Golden Age. They both, at one time, had stories in
the same issues of Amazing-Man Comics. Lou would sign some of his work
"Lew Glanz" while Sam signed his "Sam Decker."

Lou went on with varied career in doing comics, magazine and historic
illustrations, Tom Corbett books, LIFE and National Geographic
magazines, a Bob Hope book, and even Pippi Longstocking among other
things. Sue told me that he was a very good and kind man.

Anyway, I just thought you should know in case you hadn't heard yet. He
will be missed as he was a great illustrator and artist. There was a
nice article about him in ILLUSTRATION MAGAZINE #19 a few years ago.

Best always,
Steve Fears
"

He lived a long life, was 91 at the time of his death, a golden age biggie, did tons and tons of work for Atlas/Marvel and others.
We will miss you, but will not forget you. Peace be with the families at this time while they're going through this.
