Xerox copies from Library of Congress
« on: March 17, 2012, 08:36:27 AM »
Back in the late 80's I went to the Library of Congress and "signed out some comics" and made xeroxes of them while there. They are in back and white, and while readable they stink compared to scans on this site. I saw another post about photoshopping the garbage out of crappy printed books, but would this possibly work with my xerox copies if I scanned them? I would have to check, but I made a copy of some of the Seduction of the Innocent books and actually photocopied an original condition Phantom Lady 17.

I know it would be a lot of work, but if it can be done without tracing all the art...who knows?

Thanks

Any books in PD that are not onsite would be welcome. Black and white scans are better than nothing

Hi tcape,
We have a scan of Phantom Lady 17 already but please do a search and see if you have something not on the site.  To be safe you likely should let us know what you intend to upload as some books in the SOTI are not in the public domain.  Nothing from Timely, Street&Smith,DC for instance.
