'Midnight' and non-DC 'Robotman' archives being sold
« on: November 06, 2011, 07:27:34 AM »
Hi gang,
I think I recommended the Comic Book Attic in the past.  It's got some very interesting blog entries that are good for eating up hours of reading time but it's been a long time since I visited it.
I was a bit surprised to see there is a two volume 'Robotman' archive being sold out there and they aren't DC products.  Certainly Jimmy Thompson is an under appreciated artist and the Robotman series is very worthy of an archive treatment - I'm just surprised DC doesn't seem to mind.  The books look quite nice just looking at the covers.  I'd love to see how the insides were done.

Also being sold is a two volume 'Midnight' collection feature Jack Cole.
This one I can understand what with the stories being in the public domain and Cole being well known for his Plastic Man work.

They all look like fun.

They're collections of scans, Yoc.
Dunno the quality or the resolution. Maybe someone here will purchase them and tell us.

Right you are Jim.  I didn't see the fine print.
The price should have been a giveaway as well.   ::)

Hey guys, if you want to email me, I'll be happy to email the Midnight ebooks to you for free. They contain restored scans and lots of my background "liner" notes that are pretty crudely written and thought out, but it's a start.

Just between us, I'm hoping to interest a publisher in reprinting some non-Plastic Man Jack Cole material. So, trying to drum up interest, and put up a good front... so I can say "been selling these off the blog for a year.. etc.").
