Interesting anyways.
Maybe going back to pulp style book,
testing the waters?

Yeah, GEO, they probably WERE testing something.
With devastating results. One issue. Says all.
 ;)

And here's my latecoming christmas present upload:

TALES OF HORROR #9

Last missing issue of that series. So it's COMPLETE - if you don't consider the one reprint issue to be a hindrance to completion...

We really would like to see the original as well though so I'll leave the listing alone.

I don't know if Rainer/ArKay will do another scan.
 ???
It's a helluva action and trouble.
I know he's got some more books, dont'cha?
 ;D

That's my only pre-code book so far, I collect 70s horror magazines.  And those I won't be allowed
to post for another 20-30 years?  Or even longer? :)

All of my pre-code stuff is from archives.  While the comics are technically PD I doubt that those
reprints are as well.

I will add scans whenever I can get my hands on an affordable pre-code book. :D

Thanks AK.
You are right on all counts.  We can't allow any non originals.
GL on your collecting and we look forward to maybe seen something more from you someday.

Have a great 2014!

Yeah, they're all into Eerie Pubs now!
 :D
These 70s trash horror magazines will be the big hype from summer 2014 on!
My prediction - and our predicament.
But I'll stay true to FIFTIES HORROR, of course.

And a big YAY to us all, the year is run.
As a last gift in 2013, I'm offering you

TREASURE COMICS #5

A real treasure trove of 40s comics art.
We Germans wish on New Year's eve a "good slide over".
Into 2014, of course.

See ya around.

Ah, by the way, TREASURE COMICS are now COMPLETED.

Technically most of them (if not all) are reprints or at least remakes of 50s strips anyway. :)
It's a rather cheap fix as well!  Well, not as cheap as it used to be since I have pretty
much picked clean eBay Germany and now have to resort to importing them, but they are still affordable.

Hehehe.
I remember being sent home from grade school when caught with a copy of one of these amazingly gory 70s mags.  Wow did I get an ear full from the female teacher who found it.  And it wasn't even my magazine!  We were passing it around the room and I just happened to be caught.  Oh well.

You could use some of the earlier Eerie Pubs to fill in some missing pages in a lot of Ajax-Farrells...and maybe even reconstruct some missing ones.  I have been entering Keith Smith's data into the GCD for this publisher and hope to have all of them indexed before the next semester starts.

It's an idea but we can't use anything printed beyond Dec. 1959.
Those Skywald, etc books are still under copyright and they were known to alter the art as well adding gore when needed.
