Well, here's the first of the Ten Stories:

TEN-STORY LOVE vOL35 03 (#201)

I got five of them in a row. Not realizing that these contain just reprints of earlier Ace romance books.
Ace published after the end of 1954 only reprint issues.
So maybe there is some REAL LOVE inside.

This-is-it-Tuesday.
Finally online the long-missing first ACE crime book:

CRIME MUST PAY THE PENALTY #33

from 1948. Absurdly brutal and graphic - enjoy!

Ach, forgot to mention.
This long running series is now COMPLETE!!!

Since Tilliban is showing pictures of me, I thought I'd share one of him. Here he is preparing to attack his Thai lunch in Paris:

ps. I'm back home in Palo Alto.

Gross!
Attack of the Thai lunch!

Good to hear from you, Jim.
Meant to contact you for days, but been absurdly busy preparing stuff.
I'll be "playing" a Düsseldorf gallery in early August.
Displaying horror comic books and covers, installing horror topics, showing panel slide shows, giving lectures in comics history.
Rrrrr.

And here's the next old romance book - featuring even older reprints from romance books:

Attack of the Thai lunch! ...

Was that repulsion you were expressing?...  I was thinking they had forgotten to kill whatever it was you were going to eat there and you had to sneak up on it. :P :)

Never had Thai food myself, so I have no idea how they serve it... live, dead, cooked, uncooked... or what they serve for that matter.

That's just Tilliban's wry Germanic sense of humor coming to the fore (in public, even), DL.
The wearing of the napkin over the mouth while eating is just one of those crazy German things that you learn to put up with.

Seriously, though, Tilliban was goofing and I was shooting just before we tucked into a lovely luncheon. There's a nice French influence to Thai cuisine and this particular restaurant has an amazing way with seasoning that sets it apart from typical French. Thai can also lean heavily toward noodle and clay pot dishes. I'm very adventurous in my eating habits, figuring that in most cases millions upon millions of people have managed to survive for centuries quite nicely eating their cuisine so I guess it won't kill me to try it once. Usually I find that I like it.

I don't know how available alternative cuisines are in your area, but usually they are excellent value for the buck and can be surprisingly delicious in very new and different ways.

The Thai food there really was fabulous!
 :P

I like to clown around, as Jim can confirm.
No clowning with my next scan, though:

THIS MAGAZINE IS HAUNTED #10

Not my best scan, I hafta admit. Ragged copy, bad print, loose pages.
Still worth the while.

Looking at the new books today and dwelling on their genres, I'd say WAR is up.
There it is:

SOLDIER COMICS #7

Got some of those from Jim recently.

...

Whew... Jim used the term "attack" and for a minute there I was thinking Dracula (or perhaps in this case more Ozzy Osbourne).  I mean, it looked like a nice place there... I should at least think they would have provided you with a knife to do the dirty deed.  :P :)

Just kidding.  :)
