Ah, well, hats off to you, sundance!
"Green Horror" is in FANTASTIC FEARS #8 - one of the most hilarious horror baddies ever printed!
Another nut job from the Iger shop.
Wonderful.

Wonderful.

I just got around to reading that book a few hours ago (I'm far behind on the "new" material). "Green Horror" was less than horrific but I'm not sure it was meant to be humorous; I can see where it would evoke laughter or at least a chuckle or a snicker. "Fear in the Jungle," also in that issue, read more like something from one of the "Mad" imitations. It made great sport of the jungle genre and was intentionally humorous. I enjoyed both stories, and I thought it was a decent issue.

@jfglade: Those guys from the Iger Studio (who packaged these horror books) just ran amuck with their fantasy.
Defying all the laws of nature, physics, gravity and reason.
I think it's great fun - and sometimes they did a little tongue-in-cheek.
I guess. I hope!

I think there is quite a bit of tongue in cheek humor in many horror comics. I just usually don't see the humor displayed so obviously as iit is in that parody of lords of the jungle. I also find a lot a deliberate humor in grade B American horror movie, although many of the more recent ones are taking themselves too seriously.  I think horror should be great fun, not an exercise in repulsion and disgust and horror comics usually didn't cross the boundry into humorlessness. Keep them coming.

 Take care,
 Jon

That's right, Jon!
Horror needs a bit of irony, else it's just splatter.
The EC comic book hosts did it the cleverest way.
Their imitation were a lot more cynical (compare any MISTER MYSTERY book) and forgot about the tongue-in-cheek.

They say it's your birthday - and I upload what I want to.
So here's

STRANGE STORIES FROM ANOTHER WORLD #2

A nice Fawcett horror book I bought dearly.
And it's a good one (quite gross) I might add.
So let's have a big round of applause for everyone here at DCM - and let the festivities begin!

Let's not forget about our crime books.
We continue our ACE series with

CRIME MUST PAY THE PENALYTY #12
