Nice work with those code-approved files, narf!!!

And now:
A christmessy celebration courtesy of that Calif of California: Jim Vadeboncoeur, Jr.

FOUR FAVORITES #2

Forget Supe, Bats and that underwater feller with that underwater haircut…
Heeeere’s Magno, Lightning, Vulcan and The Raven!
Hoboy.
They’re battling giant injuns, mobsters in a tank and a creep that crossdresses as a werewolf.
Holy smokes!

Thanks T!
I've added a note to your JVJ uploads in the description area that these are from the JVJ Collection just to be clear to the members who might not know it and wonder what -JVJ means when they see it.

I timed this upload as another christmas surprise:

HAND OF FATE #24

Contains one of ACEs finest stories: "The Man Who Would Be Fate".
By VIP artist Lou Cameron.
I set a high value on story WRITING as well as drawing.
And this story is most impressive.

January will see the last of the available ACE horror comic books up on DCM.
Will intersperse with the occasional crime book or other horror, some cheesy books no one expects as well...

Crime wave hits the internet!!!
 :o

Yehehes, Jim sent me a box full of dozens of crime books (threw in some western and war) - all ACE - so it's gonna be a big crime fest the next weeks. Starting with the last pre-code issue

CRIME MUST PAY THE PENALTY #44

This is an all-reprint issue from I-don't-know-where.
Looks like a case for... narfstar!
Maybe.

I'm going to upload them chronologically backwards.
Cause my ACE horror work is almost done. Then I'll be in the year 1955.
So I take on crime from there and go back to the year 1948.
From there on I will be studying some other books taking me forward into the year 1955 again.
So I'm pretty much stuck in a pre-code-loop.

Thanks T, looking forward to seeing these.
:)

We are now just one issue away from a complete run of HAND OF FATE gang!
Great job everyone!

Didn't I include my index cards for all these, Tillmann? Please say YES! I don't see them in my files and I seem to recall including them in the box... You should include the card for each issue at the end of the scan - IF you have the cards, that is. Please advise...

Peace, Jim (|:{>

And Happy New Year to all.

Yes, please include Jim's index cards at the end of the files T.
And in the description area of each upload would you also include
'From the JVJ Collection, scanned by tilliban' as well.
Thanks!

Allright, fellers!
I got all your cards, Jim, just didn't realize they are a nice bonus at the end of the scan.
Will do! Absolutely.

Hi T,
yes, it is absolutely a must to include the cards with the scans so their info can be discussed and eventually updated on the GCD site.
If you wanted me to add the missing cards to the scans already on the site you can email me them and I can take care of it for you.

Thanks to Jim and T for providing them.

Last day of the year, everything must go!
Double uploader today:

BEYOND #26

Has all of ACEs great ones: Rice – Zansky – Cameron – McLaughlin.
On the crime side of things we have

CRIME MUST PAY THE PENALTY #43

And there’s Louis Zansky twice – whew!
That again is an all reprint matter, so we see a young Louis Zansky here – double whew!!

@Jim – I have an amateur question here.
Your index card says “FBG” – whose name is signified by these initials?

Checking out of 2011, as we Germans wish on this day:
“Guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr” (have a good slide into the new year)!

A most happy new year to you all at the DCM!
Here's my new year's treat for all you number-one-collectors:

FOUR FAVORITES #1

Brought to you by Jim Vadeboncoeur, Jr. - the man with all the books.
This is the oldest comic book I ever held in my hands.
September 1941, old as my mother!

Fun art all through - and an interesting crotch shot on page 32.
 :P
And that werewolf creep again, drooling over a halfnekkid görl on page 33.
Whips and chains and bondage as well, what's really going on here?!
