Pages out of order

(1/4) > >>

KevinP:
I'm trying to create Archives.  I convert each issue from .cbr to .rar, place the pages I want in a new folder, number them consecutively by selecting all and renaming, put them in a new .rar then rename extension .cbr .  They come out all out of order.  The two series I've done are so badly rearranged that I will probably have to re-extract them.  I don't know if winrar or cbr is doing this.  Thought it was reading 1, 10, 100 as consective so I renamed all pages with 3 digits, 001, 010, 100 but that doesn't work.  How can I name the pages so that .rar / .cbr will display them correctly?

JonTheScanner:
What program are you using to rename them?  Some programs use the order the files appear in the order they were written, others let you sort them first by name, size, date, whatever.  (Irfanview for example.) I'd suspect most renaming software will let you sort to the order you want first.

Hmm, hard to tell without seeing it.

If you wanted to upload a small sample of the bad file I could take a look.
Say 5-10 pages?

will do but cannot get to it till next days off

Yoc:
Ok.  You might also check a file from DCM that you know is in the right order.
Look inside and see how they named the files.
