tilliban:
Sad news from Europe indeed.
Jean Giraud aka Moebius was one of my heroes.
Saw his work on "Arzach" and was totally flashed.
And with "Lieutenant Blueberry" he created the most beautiful and gripping western comic of all time (sorry to say, my dear Americanos).
paw broon:
Re. Jean Giraud. I've just seen the notice on Comics UK and commented that it's rather depressing how many comics creators are leaving us. Because of an interest in European comics, I've always been aware of his work and, although it didn't appeal to enough to collect, I have read a fair bit of it and it is powerful, strong, well crafted material. tilliban, I'd be close to agreeing with you on Blueberry. Yes, I think he was a giant of the comics world.

I have the sad duty to inform the community that LOU CAMERON is no longer with us.
There has been some confusion about the matter.
(I myself spread the rumor of him being still alive just last month... sorry for that)
Reliable sources informed me that he passed away - and quite some time ago, in November 2010.
Wikipedia has NOW updated this information.
