Longtime artist of Richie Rich (1969-1982). Also worked at DC (penciler/ inker/editor) in the 1980s. He also did a 9/11 book with Sid Jacobson.

John Carl Bulthuis drew Gypsy Johnson in Blue Ribbon Comics #4 (June 1940) to #8 (December 1940) prior to serving in the Navy during WW2.

I'd never heard of the gentleman. So I hopped over to read his stories in Blue Ribbon Comics. Mr. Bulthuis lived 100 years of what sounds like a pretty good life. RIP

J.C. Bulthuis also has a few comic book credits in the early 1950's – Under Two Flags for Classics Illustrated #86 (August 1951) and a couple of horror/mystery stories for Stanley Morse.
