Yoc:
Thanks Geo.  I just shared the same news on our Facebook page with this very detailed feature on Stan that The Comics Journal has shared on their site:

OtherEric:
We knew it was coming but it’s still a shock. I was only lucky enough to meet Stan once, briefly, at a con.  I thanked him for having entertained me my whole life; he looked at me with that Stan Lee gleam in his eye and said “You know I did it all just for you, right?”

R.I.P. Stan Lee.

What surprised me, after the news broke, was the extent of the coverage. The success of the Marvel movies made him something of a non-fan/collector household name. Before then, based on the brief live action TV show and various cartoons, all we might have seen/heard would have been, "Stan Lee, creator of Spider-Man has died."

I related to Spider-Man more than most. I graduated high school the same month he did. My first visit to my college campus coincided with his.

SuperScrounge:
The GCD front page mentioned that Canadian artist Jack Tremblay passed away as well. He drew stories for Bell Features comics during WWII and later became a painter.
