I've just learned Canadian comics artist Darwyn Cooke (Nov 16, 1962 - May 14, 2016) has died of cancer.
Our condolences to his family and friends.  He did some very nice work with several GA characters we all know.
Of current artists he was one of my favourites.   :(

Ouch. Am shocked by that.
I only know his work fleetingly (cause he was a MODERN artist).
Cooke was brilliant, though, a true cartoonist.
Have to get some of his work - to remember him by...
 :'(

Yoc:
Sports fans will all be saddened by the passing of two of the biggest legends in their fields -

Muhammad Ali (January 17, 1942 – June 3, 2016), boxing and cultural legend.  It's unlikely anyone out there that doesn't know of this larger than life man.

and

Gordie Howe (March 31, 1928 – June 10, 2016) NHL hero of the 50s and 60s and often called one of the greatest ever in the game.

A very sad week.
