It is kinda oddly satisfying to be able to upload a book, and then, less than half a week later, it's already been downloaded over 100 times.

Being a brain in a jar, even seeing and typing is a big accomplishment!  *wink*
Seriously, congrats on the popular scans BC

I agree BC. I like to see that my efforts are not wasted. But I also am willing to scan the less popular titles because there is always someone looking for them. Romance comics may not get as many hits but those that want 'em want 'em. If no one scanned them they might just disappear.

It's been a little while, but I got my hands on a new book: The Face, #1.  (I like Marvelo, and this has another Marvelo story in it).

Be on the lookout for it BC, whenever you are ready with it.

I uploaded it through the web form last night.  Did it disappear?

Edit: Oh, hey.  There it is in the Columbia section.

Thanks BC, a pretty 'creepy' looking character by the way too.

And one more: a web-form-upload of Fighting Yank #4.

This was probably the hardest books I've ever tried to scan.  The original has a number of flaws, including a glued spine, and misaligned fold.

Well, it's been a while since I last uploaded, but I picked up a copy of Black Terror #18 and just scanned it today.  I was surprised not to see a cover image on the confirm screen, so I hope that all went well.

I must also confess that this issue really challenged me as I was scanning it.  I think the Oompah story really fits into a long racist tradition of depiction of black people, and I did find myself wondering, "why am I helping to archive racism?"  I guess that one must be prepared to confront the brutal truth of history, but it's a bitter pill to swallow.

Anyway, other than Black Terror #1, and three unscanned issues in the JVJ collection, I think Black Terror is almost complete.
