In Lawrence Watt-Evans short history of 1950s horror comics in Alter Ego #97 he sites Stanley Morse's titles Mister Mystery and Weird Mysteries as having some particularly notorious covers but also says this about Morse's Weird Chills- "In my decades of collecting and reading comics I think this may be the single most unpleasant title I ever read."
He sites in particular a couple of stories from Weird Chills #2 (which unfortunately is not yet available on DCM or GAC).

I just looked through Weird Chills one and two and they were very tame. A story that really got me when I was a kid was in a B&W reprint mag. A Nazi made gloves from human skin. You can figure at the end they arose with bony hands to get their revenge. Not sure what the original was or which issue it was reprinted in. Of course their model would probably have it appearing in a couple reprints then a couple more redos'
