Sweet!  Mitch just topped his earlier work for you.
I can totally see myself buying this book in 1981!

The Sentinels #238 (Dec 1981)
The thrilling conclusion of the three part epic, "Super-Villains Triumphant!" [...]

Is... is that my dad?

(More seriously: great piece!)

Also: it's too bad about that clock.

"The Sentinels" Cartoon Show ad

During the late 80s and early 90s, the "Standard Comics Encyclopedia" had successfully put their stable of characters into various merchandising, including action figures. The next step was a weekly Saturday Morning cartoon show.

Featuring the core Sentinels (Optima, UltraMan, Raven, Dr. Quantum, Crimson Streak, Black Orchid, and the Grim Reaper) the show ran for 4 seasons.

The recurring villains included Dreadhelm, Emulex, Deathless Brain, Count Orlok, Cyborilla, Nega-Man, and the Eliminator.

~~~~~~~
Sadly, not a real cartoon.
Dave Bednarski is awesome and provided a great commissioning experience.
Oh I would have loved seeing that show in the 80s.  More over Thundarr !
'Course network execs would have insisted on a comedy relief character - a monkey or silly robot.
A bit outside comic books, but people do like old tv shows:
Avengers versus the Invaders - British Invasion of the Body Snatchers
The Invaders have captured John Steed and Emma Peel, who've been snooping around one of their secret projects - to capture humans and use modified Body Snatcher pods to duplicate them in modified regeneration chambers.
David Vincent has arrived and has broken them out. Now the a$$-kicking begins.
~~~~~~~~~

Sweetness from Scott Kowalchuk with a nifty crossover.

I think David Vincent, a mere architect, makes 24's Jack Bauer look like Ralph Furley.

Scott tells me that Steed's actor, Patrick Macnee, is an avid nudist, which obliquely ties in with the pod people starting out nekkid.

Very nice Roy.  Byrne was a huge favourite of mine in his X-men days.
A nice colouring job as well.  Congrats!

I keep the majority in art folders (and online), with a few early pieces up on the wall.

This one's in my living room:
