The Sentinels #17 (July 1963)
Sentinels vs the God Below Pin-Up

A dynamic guest artist provides this great pin-up ad featuring the next issue's villain, the God Below -- Chthonak.

Another nice one - I see Kirby but I also see Donald Simpson of 'Megaton Man' fame in the inking.
Simpson of course influenced by Kirby among others.  I wonder if he does commissions?

Nifty.  I  confess that I like the concepts more than I like the art style on this one.  Chthonak seems like a great villain concept -- it's a pity that we can't see more of what he looks like.

I vote that BC's 'brain-in-a-jar' make a guest appearance someday in a 'Standard' comic!  Along with Roy's own hand puppet avatar!

Maybe Chthonak will make a full appearance in a future commission that's more to your liking. Send money now!

Even though I'm not a big Kirby fan (for shame, I know), I think it's a reasonable Kirby-simulation, right down to getting the costume details wrong  ;)

I misread that as "Deathless Brian."  Not nearly as concerning...

I'm guessing BC didn't know he had another 'jar' in the family.

The 'horrific' brain in a jar is a recurring trope (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BrainInAJar), but it would likely be more horrific to be the brain than to see it.

I've got an itch for more commissioning ... we shall see.

I'm guessing BC didn't know he had another 'jar' in the family.

Not quite what you are talking about but JSA vs Invaders might be cool.

Une otre:

The Sentinels #25 (Mar 1964)
"Tremble Before -- Dreadhelm!"

The Sentinels encounter perhaps their greatest foe, the (would be) world conquering Dreadhelm!

Newest members Fighting Yank, Marksman, Wildfire, and The Flame fight alongside Nelvana to stop this Alexander the Great wannabe from taking over (for our own good).

He would return time and time again to plague them, and even superheroes of other universes!

~~~~~
The Fraims further define the Sentinels and Standard Comics Universe with (I hope) this nifty villain. My try at a Dr. Doom level villain.
These things have got to be fun to have laying around
