It's been awhile, but I'm back with a rescan/different version upgrade! Holyoke's Cat-Man Comics #15, which I may or may not have posted to Alt.Binaries.Pictures.Comics back in 2002, is going up now. Since I don't have a text file for it, and there was a scan by someone else here, I imagine that I probably never posted it and just scanned it for use in All-Amazing Comics or some of my other online reprints.

Thanks. Incidentally, I'm the original scanner for Cat-Man Comics #3 (currently listed as unknown scanner). I'll try to get around to upgrading those to 300dpi scans sometime soon.

My latest upgrade is not a re-scan, but a re-post of the same scans at a larger size. Holyoke's Veri Best Sure Fire Comics #1 is in my FTP folder with my original 300dpi scans. (What I posted originally in 2010 were 150dpi.)

No new description of the book is needed, but I'm copying the stats and comments for posterity:

Holyoke's Veri Best Sure Fire Comics #1. This reprints various stories from various issues of Captain Aero Comics, none of which have been posted. Also, I believe the contents are the same as Veri Best Sure Shot Comics. Both covers (from Heritage) are included in the upload and are identical except for the title.

Incidentally, no ad pages were or are missing. All 64 interior pages are there, albeit with damage to page 1. The only missing pages are the IFC, IBC, and BC.

One thing does need to be updated on the Holyoke page. Veri Best Sure Fire Comics issue does not contain reprints, but rather inventory stories from Captain Aero Comics. Now that we (thankfully) have all of the issues of that title, I was able to look over them and didn't find any of these stories in there. In fact, I was able to determine that the Captain Aero story precedes his story in Captain Aero Comics #15 and Alias X and Hammerhead Hawley both precede their stories in Captain Aero Comics #11.

I added it was 300dpi in the description and that this is an upgrade.  I know you could call it something else but to most people they will just see it as an upgrade to the older version you uploaded.

A different (larger) version of MLJ's Zip Comics #42 is up now! Honestly, I'm kinda surprised that nobody has been upgrading these MLJ superhero books. It looks like they've been left alone (other than some superficial fixes) since arriving from their original Goldcomics.com home. I have a few more that I'll get to eventually. Incidentally, I know that at least Jackpot Comics #1 is my scan.
