Here's a surprise for you in return: there was a serial based on the Blackhawk comic strip in 1952, toward the end of the era of the motion picture serial.  Kirk Alyn portrayed the title role.

History Of Comics On Film Part 54(Supaidaman)

Part fifty-four of an ongoing series about the History of Comic Books that have been adapted for movies and television. This particular segment covers the Toei produced television series from
Japan called Supaidaman, that aired from 1978 to 1979 !

Bill Black, of AC Comics, has a video division called Cult Retro which has a number of old serials available including the Blackhawk serial.
