Peter Wheat: Some self-promotion
« on: May 20, 2010, 01:02:42 AM »
As if I haven't bored almost everybody here enough on the subject; may I suggest you take a look at

http://whirledofkelly.blogspot.com/

over the next few days.  Thom asked me to write about Peter Wheat as a lead-in to us posting the first three issues there and I agreed, with both some history of the series and my thoughts on both Kelly's comic book work in general and Peter Wheat specifically.

It's nice to see that information finally coming together as a whole, Eric.  Very nice work (with much more to come, I assume).

Some, at least.  In large degree we'll let the art speak for itself!

Just want to thank you for this.  I was shown Pogo strips years ago and didn't particularly enjoy them.  Probably in part because I was blind to real talent.  However, this material has brought me back and I am intrigued and look forward to reading and finding out more. This is the first I have heard or read of Peter Wheat. As a lover of Rupert Bear and Tom Poes, I think I can find space for something as good as this.
