Aha, that makes sense.  I don't trust Keltner or the GCD 100%; I know I had trouble ID'ing an issue of Jumbo that was using the Keltner info on the GCD, in fact.  But checking with an eBay seller was a good idea.  (Maybe there's a dealer on eBay who would answer if their copy of #20 is 36 or 52 pages.)

Happy NOvember!
Tonight, the last of my current batch of Jumbos: 133(torn bc; none at HAG) & 137(no cf), to go along with my earlier upload of 131-2.
Also, a complete #35 is done for The Factory; I'll add it to dcm later today. I'm also planning upgrades of a few of my oldest incomplete Jumbo uploads.

Looking forward to seeing that Jumbo 35, Len. Lightning is my favorite hero character from Fiction House.

More for Jumbo fans (fans of Jumbo Comics, that is):
a c2c paper #42 to replace the current part-paper part-fiche partial scan.
I need your help to remove the old one: it doesn't appear in my CP (probably because dm added the fichepages & re-upped it)

And tonight a better, but still not c2c, Jumbo 37.
The scan is from the same comic as before (coverless & missing the ow), but with the other 11 previously-missing pages + a HAG bc added. (Also the scans are larger).
And, again I'll need your help to remove the old one. Thx!

Nice to see parts (Phantasmos) of the later The Funnies on the site. I've added #59's Phantasmo, but the title doesn't appear on the upload page so I added it to the general Dell area.

A Western triple-feature tonight (including 3 gun-slingin' cowgals):
Standard's Broncho Bill 13 (coverless, with small cover from gcdb);
Ace's Western Adventures 5 - c2c;
and Trojan's Western Crime Busters 2 - c2c!

Back to Funnies, The for a moment: why doesn't the title appear in the Dell category drop-down box when I try to upload a scan?

For those hoping to learn stuff:

Western Adventures #5:
Cover & first - Max Elkan
Sheriff Sal / Cowboy & Schoolmarm - King Ward (signed KW)
Boomerang Justice - Bill Walsh

Western Crime Busters #2:
Cover is probably W.T. Johnson, but who really knows what HE looks like?
"Bill Zeller" is most likely early Bob McCarty (whose earliest KNOWN work is 1951).
"R. Hayden" is Rex Maxon
"Fred Yates" is H.W. Kiemle
"Don Tallant" is most likely editor Adolphe Barreaux.
Hope that helps.

ps. Read the latest issue of Illustration Magazine for some great comic book info on Barreaux and Donenfeld!

You're welcome, Yoc,
Glad to be back and nice to see some Trojan material. They had a VERY unique line up of artists in this title. Does anyone know for certain the relationship between Trojan and Youthful? Curious minds want to know.

Jim,

Thanks for the art IDs.  One of the things I like best about sites like DCM and GAC is I'm finally getting to see all these comics I've heard about for years (decades) and study so many artists I've never seen (or only seen their later work in the case of those who made it into the Silver Age).

BTW, wasn't Trojan related to DC via Harry Donenfield in some fashion?

Best

Joe
