Yes thanks! And I have to say, I'm impressed with the results of a 300dpi scan saved at "low" quality. I may have to try that on my next book. I think it's better than 150dpi at "medium" quality....

Eric, the other thing that I picked up from discussions between JVJ and others was trying to avoid using the software to correct rotation, which tends to diminish image sharpness. So, I have been doing my darndest to get the book square on the scanner...something not always easy. I work in .psd format, and my page files end up around 45 Mb after image enhancements. JVJ showed me how to use the automated scripts on Photoshop to batch process all the .psd's to .jpg. I use a compression setting of 3. This tends to give you a finished file size of just less than 1 Mb (for edited images, 500 Kb for unedited).
