Somewhere between 19 and 22 issues.

We simply need the following 19 issues of Adventures of Peter Wheat:

4 (nn), 5 (nn), 6, 9, 11, 13, 16, 17, 31, 39, 49-51, and 58-63

We have a copy of 10, but although Yoc and Thom did some amazing editing and we've located low-grade scans of the missing last 2 pages, we really could use an upgrade.

Most sources claim the series went to #66; I'm 98.5% certain it actually ended at 64 and it's Peter Wheat News that went to 66.  But if I'm wrong, we need those two.

Adventures of Peter Wheat 11 now ready for download.  Some absolutely amazing Walt Kelly art in this one, even by the already high standards of the series.

Will have some more Peter Wheat very soon, and I swear I'll get to my other books on the pile before too much longer.

And more Peter Wheat, in this case a very rare complete issue of Peter Wheat News, not just the comic pages.  This is issue 23, so it's the middle chapter of a 3 part story.  Still, some very rare Walt Kelly art for everybody to enjoy; and actual scans rather than photos snagged from an eBay listing.

And another Peter Wheat News, issue 56.  So this one is by Hubbard, and once again it's a middle chapter with no beginning and no end.  But, every find helps on this title.

Still scanning, but I should have Adventures of Peter Wheat #50 up later today, as well.  We've got at worst 20 issues left to go, more likely 18.  I can't quite see the end of that tunnel but I'm starting to believe the end does exist.

I'm having a great couple of months, at least.  I think I may wind up breaking down the Peter Wheat section into 3 folders soon; Adventures, News, and Other.

Adventures of Peter Wheat #61 now ready for download.  47 issues done, 1 needs an upgrade, 16 issues to go, and I don't care what Overstreet says, the series ends at 64, not 66.

I've probably said this before, but the Peter Wheat stories are among my top favorites on DCM. Walt Kelly was, of course, great, but even Hubbard was no slouch and kept the series going in the proper spirit. The stories are just the right length and the lack of overt plugging for commercial baking is salutary Great stuff.

I really need to get caught up on my scanning, I've got at least a dozen books I need to get up here.  But for tonight...

I actually got one of the Bell Bakeries mini-issues of Peter Wheat.  The bad news is, it's the same one we already have here rather than one of the other 8 (or more, who knows) issues we don't have.  The good news is, it's high-rez scans from a high-grade copy rather than digital pictures of a low-grade copy.

Eric here and myself have just released the first Peter Wheat News Omnibus collection!
In it are Peter Wheat News #25 to 27 which is the complete PW in Mother Goose Land story arc.
Packed with lovely Walt Kelly art!  We've also included a new introduction by Eric, the original pages as they appeared when given away and a special Peter What Poster!

As always, if Anyone out there owns any Peter Wheat books PLEASE consider scanning them or letting us do it all for you!
