I haven't read most of the Claw. I know that he frequently allied with Hitler, but what was his relationship, if any, with Japan and its leaders?

Great to hear from you here.
I admit I haven't read more than a few of the early Claw stories.  I only recall him being from Tibet?
Just checked 'Toonopedia' and it says he had his own island (Pacific island nation called Ricca), made a pact with Hitler for half of Europe but nothing about connections with Japan.

Public Domain Super Heroes talks about his last adventures and being an alien invader.  That's new to me.  I vaguely recall Savage Dragon brought him back as well as the original Daredevil but not the details.
