Fawcett Fridays for November 2021!

Way back in June 2017 we had our first Fawcett Fridays were we debuted 36 books on the site. 

Please check out Erwin k Roberts excellent introduction to the 2017 flood here!

We aren't likely to match that number this time but we're still very happy to have a second event like this!

Stars of this flood will be SRCA1941 and new comics donor Keith Hammond.  Many thanks to both for making this spotlight possible.

Starting this Friday we'll be releasing several new or upgraded Fawcett scans for you to enjoy. 

If any of you out there would like to contribute to the fun please feel free.  If you need some help with scanning just let us know here or use the Contact Us link to reach out. DCM Staffer Brian House, a trusted scanner who has scanned thousands of books to date, is ready to help.

Hello!

I've been away for a while, just returned to get more Captain Marvel comics to read on my new device. Am I reading DC/Warner has clawed back what might have been previously public domain comics? Has the recent movie allowed for a different stance on these Fawcett properties? Like, film has a different set of public domain rules than print?

I'm not trying to troll the board, just surprised DC/Warner has changed their stance on the matter. What happened? Is there a blog or something I could be pointed at to read what happened more in depth? Thanks - Jason
