This too is only available online. This is definitely worthy as educational material despite being harsh.

Alex Toth critiques Steve Rude's storytelling and rips him apart.

This video series is also invaluable as teaching material.
How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way

While I have a hard time classifying Marvel as vintage, it really is. The tutorial outlines concepts utilized by Jack Kirby to make  storytelling more dynamic.

Thanks again, it took a lot of doing but I was able to finally secure Secrets Behind the Comics. I'll look into the others you've recommended soon, I've got to literally get back to the drawing board.

Hi GM,
This isn't exactly 'comics' but I think you might be interested in it -

Thanks Yoc, the oldest scripts are from 1981 but still very helpful. I'm thinking that unless there's a dramatic new discovery, there's virtually no surviving scripts from the Golden-Age that are digitally accessible. This is the same for the dearth of original art from that era, I know Victor "I'm the King of the Comics" Fox used to mandate that all original art pages be destroyed after publication. What a sad tragedy to envision Lou Fine's pages for The Flame being ripped up and summarily bin rubbished.

Thanks for always thinking of TVIA and my projects, it's well appreciated!

Hi GM,
This add recently showed up in a Facebook post.  Sorry I only know it's from the 1920s.

And here's another school and ad for your collection.
Shared on Facebook, the poster thought it was also from the 1920s.

Greetings Yoc,
Terribly sorry for the late response, I've been having some issues with the TVIA website where the menu is no longer active on mobile devices. Very frustrating and time consuming to troubleshoot as I am not a web developer. Long story short is I believe the theme I'm using has not been properly looked after by the vendor and has obsolete coding that might be causing the issue. In any event, I'm organising to address this with a webhost change and possible complete revamp of the site to perhaps something more visually modern. Everything else will stay the same but be MUCH better.

Thanks for all of the tips and links. I actually have the course for The Washington School of Cartooning in the TVIA Library: How to Become a Cartoonist by The Washington School of Cartooning

I've added 8 more fantastic books over the weekend and have re-organised the library to be much easier to read. It's now catalogued precisely so that visitors can find what they most like quickly.

Good things to come despite all the travails. Cheers to you for your support and thoughtful shares my friend!

Thanks Yoc, right now I was able to put an active menu at the footer of the site for those on mobile devices. It's temporary whilst I contract a web dev tech to resolve the actual issue. On desktops TVIA works and the menu is functioning normally.
BTW, I did navigate over to the Washington Cartoon link and am creating a PDF of the excellent advert promotional you shared. I'll be uploading it to the Library this weekend sometime or before if I can wrangle out some time. Thanks for your contributions, they make TVIA better and better.
