Eccentric shoe maker Philip Wuxton builds a mansion for his wife in the shape of a shoe, and both were very happy until Philip to mysteriously ill and apparently dies. Two years later, after being a recluse in her shoe home, she suddenly marries the undertaker that buried her husband...and he purportedly dies soon after...a pattern continuing through husband seven.
