Enid starts dating Jack, and refuses to take Charlie’s calls or read his letters. Charlie shows up to explain; the “other woman” was his sister Jean, and they had to go home for an emergency. Enid apologizes and will now marry Charlie.

When upper-class Martin and Stella eat at the diner, Stella acts snobbishly towards Nell, so Nell decides to romance Martin out of spite. Stella is shocked to see Nell kissing Martin, but Mike also witnesses this. However, Mike has faith in Nell and she apologizes for her actions.
