from a book in the JVJ Collection
---
Strictly already available material, Avon simply took three crime books, removed the cover wrap, put them together and gave the 96 pages a different cover wrap.

Comment: The book is made up of three previously published Avon books - Murderous Gangsters #3 (3/1952) the ifc of this issue appears as the ibc, Prison Break #3 (4/1952) this issues ifc is used as the ifc and Police Lineup #3 (4/1952) the ifc for this becomes the blue tinted bc. Just the front cover is new, Avon seem to have a fixation on their #3 issues. Interestingly the GCD dates this issue as 1952, the year the original three were published, the second issue was dated March/April 1954. I wonder if it was hastily put together to obtain the copyright on the title and also get extra money from remaindered books?
