Ah, forgot: There is one hidden page of Kirby art in here (p. 50).
Badly printed, though... |

Definitely Kirby on p. 50 -- thanks Tilliban! It's a shame about the poor printing on the page. GCD credits pencils and inks to Kirby, but I'd swear there are other hands at work here. For example, panel 8 looks to me as if there are some Meskin touches. I also wonder about panel 5 -- I have a suspicion about the inker based on the eyes, but nothing else in the panel fits with that thought. And the inks in panel 9 look rough and un-Kirbyish to me. Is that supposed to be Bob Hope? What's wrong with his jaw line?
Maybe this was a ten-minute gag strip Jack drew as a warm-up! Anybody have more information? |

Thank you SO much for uploading this issue of Crazy Man Crazy. I am a humor magazine collector, and this issue, along with the Nov. 1957 issue of This Magazine is Crazy, are two of the only humor magazines which I haven't been able to obtain print copies of. Thanks to you, I can finally read this one. Would you be able to upload This Magazine is Crazy, Nov. 1957? As for the Kirby page in this issue, it's a reprint from From Here to Insanity (the comic book version) #11. That particular issue featured much Kirby art, but unfortunately, is not public domain for this reason. |
