Synopsis: Debra goes to France with her college cycling club, leaving behind her boyfriend Bob. She falls in love with penniless artist Jacques. Debra's cousin Lila arrives and poses as an heiress; Jacques dumps Debra for her. Debra's father and Lila were behind the scheme to expose Jacques as a fortune-hunter. Debra comes home to boyfriend Bob.

Nan attends a discussion group where student Lester says athletes are "intellectually subnormal." She begins to doubt her love for Bill; she breaks up with him and dates Lester. The following term, Bill agrees to attend one of the discussion group's meetings. Lester boasts that "love is a form of stupidity," claiming he made both Nan and Marion think he loved them. Bill calls Lester a liar, saying Nan had agreed to marry him. Afterwards, Nan tells Bill she loves him.

Synopsis: Music student Harry helps Jane rehearse for the college musical and they fall in love. "School Romeo" Bill steals Jane away from Harry, but she learns Bill's unfaithful: "I like variety." After graduation, Jane and her mother move to New York. A year and a half later, the now successful Harry comes to town and visits Jane. He seems cool to Jane but she discovers he didn't think she'd want to give up her career to marry him. Jane says "I'm not too keen on a career for myself" and will marry Harry instead.

Comic Story (7 pages) Reputation Thrown Away!
Synopsis: Lorry and some college friends visit the Blue Flame club, even though they're underage. Lorry's boyfriend Tad accidentally hits singer Mardee with his car, killing her. Their friends all leave, but Lorry stays with Tad. Lorry and Tad are expelled from school as a result, and their reputations in town are tarnished. The judge declares Mardee's death an accident, and the other students show up to admit their presence as well. Lorry and Tad are reinstated in school and will marry after they graduate.
