A starving tramp begs for food at a farm house. When the woman of the house commands him to chop wood and fill the bin first, the man dies from the strain. He returns at night as a wood chopping zombie fulfilling his task. As he enters the home for his meal, the woman dies of shock.
Investigator Emmet Blake is bothered with a murder during his vacation. Who killed old Mr. Throckmorton and what does the raven with the bloody feet have to do with it? Meanwhile, Sally wonders why Emmet won't kiss her once in a while.
The captain of a sailing ship gets drowned by the ghost of a rival captain. When the ghost threatens to steer the ship on rocks, supernatural investigator Zero uses his "ghost-melting disintegrator" to render him powerless.
Two men make a crash landing in the jungle and are brought before a sun goddess. She declares them to be sacrificed to the sun god. The men, however, know about a total eclipse of the sun happening the next day. Using that knowledge, they claim to be the sun god's messengers and go free.
