Comic Story (10 pages) I Was a Party Girl
Synopsis: Barbara moves to the city where her best friend Kay is a model. Barbara and Scott fall in love, but he has to leave town for three months. Barbara discovers Kay is a party girl, paid to entertain visiting businessmen, but she is compelled to take a job with the same agency so she can wait for Scott. Barbara at first insists on doing legit modeling only, but finally gives in and becomes an expert at bilking clients. Scott returns and breaks up with her because of her new profession. Barbara goes to work as a store clerk and lives a decent life. A remorseful Kay reunites Scott and Barbara.

Joan changes her sloppy ways and when she meets Barry again, they reconcile.

Barry learns Lela is going to marry her boss, an older man, even though she doesn’t love him. He comes to Ray Mann for advice, and Ray says the readers of Love Diary “always think of something!”

Comic Story (7 pages) I'm No Man's Woman!
Synopsis: Lillian grows up determined to prove that women don’t need men to take care of them. Her work convinces ad agency boss David to promote her from layout staff to agency artist. They fall in love, but Lillian remains touchy when he appears condescending to her. David proposes marriage and says she’ll have to quit her job because marriage is “the best career any woman can have!” They argue. Lillian wanders off into the woods and has to be rescued by David. This convinces her that she’s needs a man to protect her, and she becomes a happy housewife.
