Audrey becomes engaged to Larson on the rebound, but when he sabotages Terry’s building and Terry is in mortal danger, Audrey overcomes her clumsiness and makes a daring rescue. Pearl says Janice must “choose between love, marriage, babies and all the slavery and drudgery which go with them—-or—-a career of fame, adventure and independence like mine!” Janice falls in love with archaeologist Harvey, so Pearl takes Janice on a safari to Africa to get her away from him. Pearl is mortally wounded by a tiger; Harvey, on an expedition nearby, saves Janice.
