Jack Cole cover and lead story - hooray!
I only wish the scans had been done larger.
The Cole story in particular has much detail, and
I'm old and my eyesight ain't what it used to be.
I really love to see these early Centaur comics -- and the early Fox comics too!

The Heffer Family has visitors from the Big City who are looking to exploit them by buying their land dirt cheap. The consummate with a toast of Moonshine, but the City folk can't hold their liquor.

Ed Casey runs the Casey Bunch, a hardened group of train robbers whom the law can't seem to stop. Tom Brent is the new sheriff, and he will have to take the Casey Bunch down in order to keep his job.

A rancher captures a fabulous black stallion, but his daughter sets it free in the night. Furious, the rancher goes to lynch a Mexican ranch hand whom he suspects stole the horse. Bigmoose, a native American, stops the lynching just in time, having read the clues about what really happened.

Windy spins a story about an adventure in California when a cut-throat gang of prospectors tried to separate Windy from his gold, and only the padre at the local mission can save him from hanging.

Sheriff Buck Bush is the toughest guy around, and when he is challenged to a duel by the Calaboose Kid, the excitement in the town swells. When the duel takes place, the two recognize each others as brother, and cancel the duel, leaving the townspeople humming mad.
