In case it's of interest, there were 2 British Blackhawk titles reprinting American stories. The first was published by TV Boardman, late '40's to about 1954. Not full colour, rather a 3 colour comic, but one of the issues, #15 featured the second story re-drawn by Denis McLoughlin. I've never seen it, which is annoying. The Blackhawk title ran to 15 issues but numbering was shared with other Boardman titles, incl. Roy Carson; Swift Morgan; Buffalo Bill. Blackhawk stories were also reprinted in Boardman Annuals.
The second series was published by Thorpe & Porter (but, despite GCD, it's possible they or later issues showed Strato in the indicia) after Boardman lost the licence, and ran for 36 issues from '56 - '58. These were 68 page, square bound, colour cover comics with b&w interiors.
You'll find Boardman covers here, and you'll see the story often starts on the cover - or there isn't really a cover, the comics being printed on the same stock throughout:-
