Almanac of stuff
« on: September 14, 2017, 12:52:44 AM »
Hi, this is about the short version ('new pages only') of the Fox giant Almanac of Crime #1. OE's description says:

"This file contains only the cover and 16 page signature from the 1948 Almanac of Crime that was not a coverless copy of another book."

But it is a coverless copy of another book: Women Outlaws #1, including the original ifc (page 1) on the Almanac's ifc.

It is not a coverless copy of another book, it is reprints from two other books:  Women Outlaws #1 and Western True Crime #15.

Sorry... I only looked at the initial pages, but isn't it still the same as the rest of the comic? Reprints that you can get from the originals, not new pages?

It is reprints, but I'm not sure we had the original issues when I first posted the book.  And we have lots of books on site that are partly or entirely reprint; but still of pre-1959 vintage.

The book is the bit of an outlier; as far as I know it's the only Fox Giant to have a combination of both reprints (the 16 page section) and rebound issues (the rest of the book).
